Affidavit: Gun fired inches from employee’s head during violent south-side dispensary robbery; suspect arrested months later

SAN ANTONIO — Nearly three months after a violent armed robbery at a south-side dispensary was caught on camera, one of the suspects is now behind bars — and investigators say media coverage helped crack the case.

Dantavea Roshun Mitchell was arrested Wednesday and is now charged with aggravated robbery in connection to the February holdup at Potheads Dispensary #2 on Pleasanton Road.

According to an arrest affidavit, the robbery happened on Feb. 15 at the shop located in the 3800 block of Pleasanton Road. Investigators say Mitchell stood outside the front door pretending he could not get inside. When an employee went to help open the door, police say Mitchell forced his way into the store…
