By Sara Beth Williams– — The Mesa Verde High School girls’ softball team won their first playoff game in 30 years after coming back from 18 runs down to win by one run.
At their first playoff game Monday, May 11, the girls’ softball team, which won 8 games in league and 11 overall, played against West Campus as part of the Sac-Joaquin Section D-5 Softball Playoffs.
MaxPreps recapped the playoff game in a video shared on its website and social media, calling the outcome an “improbable 18-run comeback.”…
