West Jordan man charged as primary distributor for Mexican drug organization

WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4) — A West Jordan man was charged with working as the primary drug distributor for a Mexican drug trafficking organization on Friday.

Francisco Daiz Gonzalez, 40, is accused of working as a drug distributor for a known Mexican drug trafficking organization after investigators allegedly found fentanyl, methamphetamine, and heroin at his residence, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Investigators with Utah County Major Crimes Task Force reportedly spent several months investigating Gonzalez through controlled drug purchases and surveillance, whom they believed was the “main runner and drug distributor” for an operation that spanned Salt Lake County.
