Man killed in west Charlotte shooting following ‘altercation’: CMPD

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man is dead after a reported shooting in west Charlotte, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

Officers were called to the 8100 block of Paw Club Drive shortly after 6:30 p.m. Sunday for reports of an assault with a deadly weapon. Charlotte Fire was already on scene and had located a man with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The preliminary investigation indicates that those involved knew each other and the incident stemmed from an altercation. Police are not currently looking for any additional suspects at this time. Police did not specify if they have a suspect in custody…
