SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (WNCN) — Two women were injured along with a baby in a Southern Pines crash during a short chase from Aberdeen late Saturday morning, reports said.
The Southern Pines Police Department confirmed a three-car crash along U.S. 1 at Saunders Boulevard on Saturday. Police said that four people were taken to hospitals for treatment, with one airlifted to a hospital.

The 11 a.m. wreck happened after Moore County Sheriff’s Office deputies tried to stop a Chevrolet Impala driver in Aberdeen on U.S. 1 at Magnolia Drive, the Sandhills Sentinel reported.
The Chevrolet driver, who had a woman passenger, fled north along U.S. 1 but crashed less than a mile later at Saunders Boulevard, the news outlet reported.
The woman passenger in the Chevrolet was trapped during the crash. She was later freed but airlifted to a trauma center, the Sandhills Sentinel reported…
