Lexington, Ky. (WAVE) – The University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging will host its 18th annual Mind Matters Health Summit to connect brain health experts with the community.
The free event runs 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, May 18 at Fasig-Tipton (2400 Newtown Pike) in Lexington and is geared toward adults 55 and older. Organizers say the summit will feature more than 20 interactive booths, free health screenings, educational presentations, an “Ask the Doc” session, a complimentary lunch, plus a photobooth and art station.
Healthy aging presentations will be led by Dr. T. Shawn Caudill, UK HealthCare chief of general internal medicine, and Brooke Beech, Ph.D., a clinical neuropsychology fellow with the Kentucky Neuroscience Institute. The “Ask the Doc” panel will include Greg Jicha, M.D., Ph.D., and Pete Nelson, M.D., Ph.D…
