MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Electric vehicle owners in Alabama held events in two cities Saturday to show off the advantage offered by owning and EV.
Visitors to Millbrook Mayfest had a chance to speak with EV owners ask questions about what it’s actually like to drive an electric vehicle.
EV owners touted savings on fuel costs, as the recent spike in gas prices has highlighted the fuel saving enjoyed by EV owners.
“With gas prices rising sharply, more drivers are taking a serious look at electric vehicles,” said Michael Staley, president of the Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition and an EV owner who showcased his all-electric Chevy pick-up truck in Millbrook. “EVs can dramatically cut fuel and maintenance costs, and there’s no better way to understand the benefits than by talking to people who drive them every day.”…
