Residents enjoy final day of flowery festival

SCOTT TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A flowery festival in our area is coming to an end: Visitors came to Lakeland Orchard and Cidery in Scott Township on Sunday to enjoy an eight-acre tulip farm.

Sunshine replaced rain, put a damper on the tulip festival during Mother’s Day, so on Sunday, some visitors cashed in their rain check.

University of Scranton students also turned out to enjoy the tulips and help decompress ahead of finals week.
