Stormy Sunday Soaks Milwaukee Before Heat Cranks Up Monday

As of 5:40 a.m. CDT on Sunday, May 17, 2026, skies over Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (KMKE) were mostly cloudy and sitting at about 52°F, with showers already lurking in the region. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are possible early, with rain and storms expected to ramp up from late morning into the afternoon, so the commute could get messy across much of the area.

Showers Soak Sunday Afternoon
