POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Monday morning three-vehicle collision on State Road 570 in Polk County has claimed the life of a 42-year-old Winter Haven man.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 6:10 AM on May 18, 2026. A Toyota sedan and a tractor-trailer were traveling westbound in succession on SR-570 (Polk Parkway) when both vehicles began to slow due to traffic.
A Ford pickup truck towing a utility trailer, which was traveling behind the sedan, failed to slow down. The pickup truck collided with the rear of the Toyota sedan. The impact propelled the sedan forward, causing it to strike the back of the tractor-trailer…
