MADISON COUNTY, IL. – The trial for the alleged getaway driver in a Collinsville murder-for-hire plot that left a woman dead is scheduled to start Monday.
The trial for Marty Shaw is scheduled to begin Monday afternoon in Edwardsville. Investigators say Shaw drove the getaway car in the shooting that left 32-year-old Portia Rowland dead in January 2025.
Rowland was killed in the driveway of her Collinsville home as she was warming up her car to go to work. Shaw is the second person to go on trial on murder charges in this case.
