Colorado Governor Polis appointed Donald P. Delaney to the Larimer County Court in the 8th Judicial District last week. The appointment fills a new judgeship created by Senate Bill 25-024 and is effective July 1, 2026.
Mr. Delaney has been serving as a Magistrate in the 8th Judicial District since 2025, handling juvenile matters. Prior to this role, he was Managing Partner at the Delaney Law Firm, PLLC (2018-2025, 2010-2012) and Managing Partner at Diamond Global Partners, LLC (2012-2018). He also served as a Senior Associate at Labaton Sucharow, LLP (2006-2010), Assistant Attorney General at the New York State Attorney General’s Office (2004-2006), Public Defender at the Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County, New York (2003-2004), and Associate at Mayer Brown, LLP (2001-2003).
