Sparks police warn of rise in teen “Senior Assassins” games using Orbeez guns

SPARKS, Nev. — The Sparks Police Department is warning families about a rise in calls involving kids playing games commonly referred to as “Senior Assassins” or “The Purge”. Police say this activity can lead to dangerous misunderstandings and injuries.

Officers say they have recently seen an increase in calls tied to the games, which often involve students sharing their cellphone locations with one another with the goal of using Orbeez guns that shoot water-absorbent polymer beads to “eliminate” other players.

Police added that toy guns can easily be mistaken for real firearms. According to the department, they have already received numerous calls from concerned community members who thought students involved in these games were carrying real weapons…
