Anchorage Recovery Center, the municipality’s selected behavioral health provider for the Willow Commons micro-unit community, is facing a legal dispute involving allegations of unpaid rent and missing supplies at a former facility.
The provider operates Willow Commons, a new 32-unit recovery housing site located in a city-owned parking area near Tudor and Elmore roads. The project is part of a two-year pilot program led by the Municipality of Anchorage and the Anchorage Community Development Authority, designed to provide housing and treatment services for individuals experiencing homelessness and substance use disorders.
However, court filings allege that Anchorage Recovery Center abruptly vacated a rental property in Mountain View just before relocating clients into the Willow Commons units.
