Two taken to hospital after two-car Ottawa County crash

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two drivers were taken to the hospital Monday after they collided in Georgetown Township.

The crash happened on 44th Street SW, west of Kenowa Avenue SW, just before 1:30 p.m.

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, a 21-year-old woman from Wyoming, Mich. was driving west on 44th Street when a 73-year-old man from Hudsonville turned left in front of her.

After they collided, the 73-year-old was taken to an area hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries, deputies said.

The 21-year-old was also taken to the hospital to get treatment for her injuries, which were not life-threatening, according to the sheriff’s office…
