SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. — A Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office K-9 will soon have new protective equipment thanks to a charitable donation intended to keep law enforcement dogs safer while working.
K-9 Dart is set to receive a bullet- and stab-protective vest donated by Vested Interest in K9s Inc., a nonprofit organization.
The vest was sponsored by Judith Metz of Antioch, Illinois, and will be embroidered with the sentiment, “In memory of Bert Metz.” Delivery is expected within 10 weeks…
