If there’s one thing San Antonio drivers learn quickly, it’s to expect the unexpected and not to drive behind someone hauling large objects. Too many times, those large pieces of wood or enormous pieces of rock end up on some busy highway, scattered about and causing a scene. That’s exactly what happened to one vehicle hauling slabs of marble that lost its load, sending chunks of rock and a light post tumbling onto a busy highway.
On Wednesday, May 13, what started as a standard drive up U.S. 281 for Jesse Campos on a routine HVAC job turned into chaos as the luxury rock was strewn across his path.
“[We] were a little past Basse Road when traffic suddenly came to a stop. We ended up right near the accident scene,” Campos told MySA. “There were ambulances everywhere, several cars stopped and debris spread all over the freeway.”…
