Firefighters battle major residential fire, family dog saved from the blaze

BALCONES HEIGHTS, Texas – A residential fire broke out earlier today at a home in Balcones Heights, prompting a multi-agency response, according to a City of Balcones Heights press release.

The initial call for service was received at 4:23 p.m. in the 200 block of Bobbies Lane, and the first units arrived at 4:28 p.m. Crews remained on scene at the time of the release.

Firefighters from the Balcones Heights Fire Department were assisted by the Castle Hills Fire Department, Bexar County Fire Department and the San Antonio Fire Department. Officers with the Balcones Heights Police Department also responded, helping secure the area and ensure public safety…
