After opening the application for the district’s top job for just one week, North East Independent School District trustees named their pick for the next permanent superintendent at a board meeting Monday.
Trustees unanimously voted to select interim Superintendent Anthony Jarrett as the lone finalist for the permanent position.
Jarrett, the district’s former chief instructional officer, is now slated to assume the permanent role after serving as the interim superintendent since January.
