A handful of Northeast Georgia golfers will continue their quest for a Georgia High School Association state championship on Tuesday.
On the girls’ side, Dawson County’s Pearl Hughes is tied for the lead with Luella’s Ariel Collins heading into the final round of the Class 3A tournament at Highland Country Club in LaGrange. Both turned in a six-over par 78 after the first round. Hughes will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
In team play, the White County and Jefferson girls remain five strokes off the lead after Day 1 of the Class 3A state golf tournament.
