DALLAS — A good film doesn’t last forever. Parkview baseball’s heart-stopping playoff run ended in Act IV Monday evening, finally unsuccessful in a Game 3, falling 12-2 to North Paulding in the Class AAAAAA Final Four series’ deciding matchup.
The Panthers trailed early after a two-run home run and were mercy-ruled after a seven-run fifth inning, dropping the semifinals series 2-1. They won Game 3s in the second round against Lowndes and the quarterfinals versus Cherokee.
No. 5-ranked North Paulding will face Region 5 rival Etowah in the championship three months after winning their series 2-1. Parkview is the only team to take North Paulding to three games in the playoffs…
