FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The National Weather Service says another round of strong to severe thunderstorms is expected to move through northeast Indiana Tuesday afternoon and evening, with the greatest risk focused along and south of U.S. 24.
Forecasters have placed much of the region under a “Slight Risk” (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather from 3 p.m. through 11 p.m. Tuesday. The Weather Service says damaging winds up to 60 mph and heavy rainfall will be the primary threats. Large hail and isolated tornadoes are also possible.
According to the latest briefing from the National Weather Service Northern Indiana office, confidence is considered medium for severe weather development Tuesday afternoon and evening, especially across areas east and south of Fort Wayne.
