Auburn’s Mayor expands on Jackson Township fire service gap

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – Auburn Mayor Dave Clark says not only did the Auburn fire department respond to multiple calls in Jackson township, but city firefighters did not have to go to, he says its township trustee refused to pay the city what it was owed.

Mayor Dave Clark issued an urgent public notice on Friday to residents of Jackson Township due to the lack of emergency and fire service coverage for the township.

Clark says the city had been taking on several calls where Jackson Township was delayed by about eight minutes, as well as six calls where the township had not responded at all…
