As Kitty Emery boarded a charter bus at Mobile’s James Seals Recreation Center Saturday morning, she couldn’t help by feel the irony.
“It just breaks my heart that we’re having to go through the same thing we went through in the 1960s to get civil rights,” she said, “to have equal voting for everybody.”
