Shadowing optometrists last year made Western Nevada College graduate Trina Hoffer’s interest in pursuing neuroscience a stronger choice.
Hoffer said the experience helped her to understand it would take hard work but it would help her to feel more accomplished.
“When I was looking at degree pathways, neuroscience was one of them, and it seemed a lot more interesting than your typical biology or chemistry,” she said. “I feel neuroscience is a good in-between. It mixes biology and psychology, and I really started to get excited to get into the meat and potatoes of those classes.”…
