• The third annual StadiumGP returned to the Reno Rodeo grounds this weekend. The three-day event featured practice and a concert on the first night.
Friday had a full slate of races after practice and qualifying. Then on Saturday there was a display of vintage bikes as well as another band in the vendor area.
While the pros got the attention the show featured many other classes as well. After the first pro heat it was time for the youngsters racing in the 65cc Class. When the gate dropped Mason Perry took off and we never headed.
After the next Pro heat it was time for the Scooter race. Two riders were on a team with the first wearing a Tutu. At the end of the first lap riders exchanged the Tutu then the second rider took off, when the next and final lap started the first rider jumped on. Sadly the results did not list their names but #10 was the winner.
Next were two divisions of women racers. At the start Makayla Burns took off with Hayden Losey giving chase.
At the checkered Burns won, Losey was the runner up in Division1. Further back, California rider Aubry Patterson was he Division2 winner while Jordan Jones was the runner up..
Right after that was the Stacyc that featured the youngest riders racing small electric bikes, this is always a crowd pleasing event. As usual the starting area was full of riders as well as parents.
After the start Peyton Sperry grabbed the lead and we never caught. The course was entirely within the arena and Perry went on to score the victory.
In the Open Big Bike Class 1 the winner was Alex Orr and this race was followed by the 50cc classes event. In the 7 to 8 Group Jude Fye, won the overall victory while Braxten Rodgers won the 4 to 6 class…
