CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The City of Chattanooga gave an update on the progress of the Walnut Street Bridge renovation on Tuesday, including the total cost for the project.
According to a release, the City says the complete overhaul of the historic bridge took more than 200,000 pounds of steel to complete.
That drove the cost up by about $12.6 million, for a total of $47 million spent on the project.
