Over 5,000 without power due to Salt Lake City outage

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Power has been restored in the area, according to Rocky Mountain Power.

A squirrel reportedly got into the transformer at one of Rocky Mountain Power’s substations, causing the outage. Customers were switched to another circuit, repairs were made, and then they were switched back, the power company said.
