MEDINA — Since opening in February 2025, 285 men, women and children have been served at Next Step Emergency Housing Shelter in Medina.
Medina Metropolitan Housing Authority Executive Director Tom O’Connell provided an update on the agency at the commissioners meeting Tuesday.
There are 27 beds and two cribs at Next Step Up, and 23 beds per night are used on average, O’Connell said. Since January, 31 children have stayed at the facility, and there were six children between the ages of 4 months to 17 at the shelter last week…
