MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A former Prichard police officer pleaded guilty Tuesday to a federal gun charge, admitting that investigators found stolen guns during a homicide investigation at his home.
Mobile police investigators in February went to the home on Wesley Avenue that Ryan Spencer Phillips shared with San Juanita Coronado and found she had been shot to death. Phillips, 35, admitted to pulling the trigger in a 911 call. Police did not make an arrest, instead sending the case to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office to determine whether Phillips is criminally responsible.
Prosecutors have not yet presented the shooting to a grand jury…
