The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office says it is hearing reports about what is being dubbed a “brushing scam,” including one instance in unincorporated Montgomery.
In the scam, victims receive packages they did not order that contain either nothing or inexpensive merchandise. Authorities say scammers use the recipient’s name and address to create fake online reviews for products.
