ELMHURST, Ill. (WGN) – As a member of the speech team, mock trial and model UN at York Community High School, Ricardo Morales is used to speaking in public, but his graduation speech on Sunday didn’t go quite as planned.
“All of a sudden I’m going like this, and I wake up and I’m in an ambulance,” Morales recalled.
It was Sunday afternoon at York Community High School and Morales, a senior at the school, was excited for his graduation ceremony, in part because he was chosen to speak during the ceremony.

“I woke up that day excited to give my speech. I got ready here with my family. We took pictures,” Morales said. “I was feeling good, walked up to the stage, got to sit next to the superintendent and principal.”…
