Four plead guilty in burglary ring targeting Asian business owners

EUGENE, Ore. – Local and federal law enforcement agencies are praising the joint investigation which led to seven arrests in a burglary ring that targeted more than 20 homes of Asian business owners across Oregon and Washington.

Four suspects have already pleaded guilty to federal charges of conspiracy to commit interstate transportation of stolen goods. Authorities say the group was highly organized and well-funded.

“The defendants, Colombian nationals who are in this country illegally, carried out a coordinated residential burglary ring that resulted in the theft of thousands of dollars in cash, jewelry, luxury items, and other valuables,” said Scott Bradford, United States Attorney for the District of Oregon…
