FORT GORDON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Fort Gordon cut the ribbon Wednesday on Pine Tree Terrace, a long-promised new on-post housing neighborhood for service members and their families—and a major update to 12 On Your Side’s decade-plus investigation into housing conditions on base.
The ceremony marked completion of the first 20 townhomes, the first phase of a three-phase plan and Fort Gordon’s first new neighborhood build since 2008.
When finished, Pine Tree Terrace will include 72 townhomes and four detached, single-family homes for junior-enlisted soldiers and junior NCOs. Phases two and three are expected to be ready by the fall…
