A former teacher’s aide at Lincoln Elementary School in North Bergen has filed a lawsuit against the North Bergen Board of Education, alleging she was terminated in retaliation for complaining about sexual harassment directed at her sixth-grade daughter by a fellow student.
Asiria Robles filed the complaint May 20 in Hudson County Superior Court under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination.
According to the complaint, Robles began working as a teacher’s aide for the district in September 2022. In April 2025, a student made a sexually explicit comment to her daughter, who was also a sixth grader at the school.
