City of Columbus receives national recognition for leadership and community development

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The City of Columbus has received a national honor, highlighting their exemplary work in leadership and advanced engagement with federal community development programs, according to Columbus Consolidated Government officials.

The Columbus Consolidated Government’s Community Reinvestment Department was awarded with the distinguished John A. Sasso National Community Development Week Award presented by the National Community Development Association.

According to officials, the national award is presented to jurisdictions that exhibit outstanding:
