GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Kent City landscaper who pleaded guilty to “false pretenses” in Muskegon County earlier this year is now facing the same charge in Kent County.
According to court documents, a Cannon Township couple paid Aron Calton $700 in December to plow their driveway through Feb. 1. After plowing their driveway once, Calton never returned to the house to complete any more of the contracted work.
Calton did tell the couple that he would eventually refund their money, but was unable to refund the money right away. He told a detective that he was having “multiple issues” with his plow truck and was unable to continue the work…
