Murrells Inlet man sentenced to prison for drug, domestic violence charges

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) A judge has sentenced a Murrells Inlet man to a decade in prison.

On Tuesday, the office of Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardson announced that Joshua Markees Darby, 38, pleaded guilty to second-offense distribution of fentanyl and second-degree domestic violence.

Darby must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for supervised release.

The charges stemmed from detectives with the Horry County Police Department’s Narcotics Unit conducting a controlled narcotics buy during March, April, and May 2025 in the Myrtle Beach area…
