‘Completely avoidable’: Dog owner charged after pet tethered, dies from heatstroke in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – A person is facing multiple charges after their dog was tethered in their backyard and died of heatstroke.

Richmond Animal Care and Control said this is their first heatstroke death of the year.
