There’s no denying that Lubbock is growing- particularly in one direction. Coming soon to Southwest Lubbock, a second location of Burlington at 11915 Quaker, very close to Vintage Township.
Discount Stores Work In Lubbock
Marshalls. DD’s. TJ Maxx. Nordstrom Rack. Two Five Belows. Three Ross Dress For Less. We love and support our discount stores here in Lubbock. But why do they thrive while traditional retail stores seem to just get by?
The obvious answer is that everything is expensive and 95% of us need to save when and where we can, and it usually makes sense to buy clothes, pots and pans, beauty items, toys, and more at a discount, even if it means getting last season’s stuff.
Honestly, I’m Proud of Us
We live in Lubbock, which is basically an island surrounded by a vast sea of wind turbines and ranches. Maybe somebody who frequently travels to Dallas or Austin might clock that Coach bag is so 2025, but imagine having so little personality as to say something about it out loud. Imagine caring about something so embarrassingly trivial.
Yeah…we don’t. I’m proud we are more cattle than new-for-summer-2026 hat, so to speak…
