The Mutual Ministry Committee is a caring committee and thus is a part of the Diakonia or Serving and Caring branch of ministry. Members of the committee serve as “relators” to the staff, and each relator meets with their assigned staff person regularly to provide a listening ear and support.
We also act as liaisons between the congregation and the staff, so we hear joys and concerns from the congregation members and try to be aware of things happening around church. At our monthly meetings, the committee gathers to share items of note from our individual relator meetings and things we are hearing from the congregation. We look for opportunities to provide extra support for staff and host staff appreciation gatherings.
