Arizona man who sold 35,000 fentanyl pills to undercover agent gets prison sentence

A Tucson man has been sentenced to eight years in prison for selling fentanyl pills to an undercover agent, authorities announced Wednesday.

The May 5 sentencing of Marc Anthony Giron came after he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona.

Giron had also admitted that he was selling fentanyl pills on behalf of a Mexican criminal organization, prosecutors said…
