The Walker County Animal Shelter is celebrating the success of its Empty The Shelters adoption after dozens of animals found new homes during the nationwide campaign.
Shelter officials announced that 41 animals were adopted during the event, including 23 dogs and 18 cats. The adoption drive began May 1 and was supported through sponsorship from the BISSELL Pet Foundation and founder Cathy Bissell.
