Beachwood man pleads guilty to voyeurism, other charges

A Beachwood man pleaded guilty to five felonies in Lake County Common Pleas Court on May 18 after an incident at Great Lakes Mall in Mentor on Dec. 30, where he used his cellphone to film an 11-year-old boy using the urinal.

Joshua Yanowitz, 33, entered a written guilty plea to two fourth-degree felony counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, two fifth-degree felony counts of voyeurism and a fifth-degree felony count of voyeurism with forfeiture specification.

The fourth-degree charges carry a prison term of six to 18 months and fines up to $5,000 along with a requirement to register as a sex offender. The fifth-degree charges carry sentencing of six to 12 months in prison and fines up to $2,500. In total, Yanowitz could face up to six years in jail…
