Coats police officer indicted in convenience store shooting

A Coats police officer is under arrest, indicted by a grand jury for shooting a suspect during an altercation at a convenience store last November.

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation said it arrested 49-year-old Ricardo Sylvester Anderson, 50, on Wednesday at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport. An SBI spokesperson said Anderson was returning from an out-of-state trip when he was picked up by the authorities.
