JACKSONVILLE, FL — Detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Special Assault Unit have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with a series of violent attacks, including a knife assault that occurred while officers were actively on-scene investigating a previous crime.
Brett Wade Pincomb faces charges of Armed Sexual Battery, Kidnapping, and Attempted Murder. Following a confession in which he admitted to raping six victims at weapon-point, authorities are appealing to the public to identify additional potential survivors.
Escalating Violence and On-Scene Takedown
The initial breakthrough in the investigation occurred on May 15, 2026, when JSO officers responded to a Point Meadows apartment complex regarding a report of a woman attacked inside an elevator.
While patrol units and detectives were actively processing the scene and gathering evidence, a second woman was suddenly attacked nearby by a suspect wielding a knife. Officers immediately intervened, identifying and subduing Pincomb at the scene.
Serial Pattern Uncovered
