WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — West Palm Beach residents concerned about an increase in airplane noise are expected to get an update on Thursday. The Citizens’ Committee on Airport Noise is meeting to discuss efforts to measure and reduce the impact of flight path changes tied to presidential security.
Year-round flight restrictions have been in place since mid-October following an order from the Secret Service to protect President Donald Trump and the Winter White House.
The committee is expected to provide an update on the installation of noise monitors across the area and a progress report on the noise monitoring system. Local officials plan to present the data to the FAA as they push for changes and relief for residents affected by the new flight paths…
