BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Sheriff Donny Youngblood joined 17 News at Sunrise to discuss the latest officer-involved shootings, the convicted rapist escape and sanctuary city policies in Kern County.
KCSO said convicted rapist Vincent DeLeon escaped custody, but was captured in a nearby neighborhood an hour and a half later.
Youngblood said he was pleased with how fast his department was able to find him, but that “somewhere along the line, we screwed up.”…
