STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Castleton Corners man accused of assaulting an NYPD officer during a shoplifting arrest this week has a history of arrests involving a violent home invasion, robbery and squatting, according to authorities.
Michael Roitman, 44, was arrested Wednesday following an investigation into a shoplifting incident at the Walgreens at 955 Manor Rd. in Castleton Corners, according to police. Authorities said the incident occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. Monday.
