A Coffeyville restaurant owner is indicted by a federal grand jury in Wichita.
39-year-old Salvador Bermudez-Herrera was indicted on one count of possession of a firearm by an illegal alien and one count of unlawful reentry after deportation. ICE is investigating the case. He was arrested in Coffeyville in late April following a traffic stop. According to that arrest record, Bermudez-Herrera was stopped for unlawful use of a turn signal and also had charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and illegal alien in possession of a firearm. The charges locally were dismissed without prejudice, which means Bermudez-Herrera could still be tried locally for them…
